Bio micro-needling (sometimes called biological microneedling or liquid microneedling) is a needle-free skin treatment that stimulates the skin’s renewal and collagen production without using metal needles or a device.
Microscopic biological spicules derived from freshwater sponge (spongilla) penetrate the skin’s surface when massaged in. The spicules are massaged into the skin for 3-10 minutes and the sensation feels mildly scratchy. Skin will feel slightly hot, mildly irritated as well as a tightness to the skin immediately after the treatment. It is not unpleasant and it is certainly not painful. Liquid micro-needling is often more tolerated by those who feel that mechanical micro-needling is painful.
This treatment contains millions of tiny, needle-like spicules. The spicules create a unique sensation on the skin. There is no need for skin numbing prior to the treatment.
When applied and massaged into the skin, these spicules create micro-channels in the epidermis this triggers the skin’s wound-healing response.
This treatment increases:

What is different about liquid micro-needling is that the spicules stay in the skin continuously working on a mild skin trauma for up to 72 hours before naturally shedding from the skin over a couple of days.
